This is a collaboration between myself and experimental musician Josh Stevenson (aka Magneticring). We were asked by Cineworks in Vancouver to collaborate on an experimental film and music performance. The piece is an experimental dance film and music video. I filmed a woman performing an improvised dance, sometimes interacting with a 16mm projection. A Fairlight CVI video synthesizer was also used to manipulate some of the footage. The edited piece was projected on the night of the event, and Josh improvised the music, having never seen the finished piece.
